Vionza legal
Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Vionza handles information when you use the Vionza application on iOS or Android and when you contact support. “Vionza,” “we,” and “us” refer to the publisher of the Vionza application.
2. Information stored on your device
To provide its features, Vionza stores source configuration and credentials, catalog data, favourites, viewing progress, search history, parental-control settings, player preferences, download records, downloaded media, and cached artwork locally on your device.
On iOS, sensitive source credentials are stored using Apple Keychain. On Android, source credentials are encrypted using keys protected by Android Keystore. Removing a saved source deletes its locally stored source information. Deleting the app removes its local app data, subject to operating-system and store-level records.
3. Connections you request
When you add or use a media source, Vionza connects directly to that source to authenticate, load its catalog and program guide, stream media, download items you choose, and load related artwork. The source operator receives the network and account information needed to answer those requests. That operator's use of information is governed by its own privacy practices.
If you choose a source using plain HTTP instead of HTTPS, traffic to that source may not be encrypted. Vionza supports such connections for compatibility, but HTTPS is recommended whenever your source supports it.
4. Vionza cloud services
iOS provider codes
If you enter a Vionza provider code on iOS, the code is sent to Firebase Realtime Database only to retrieve the matching source configuration. Vionza does not upload the source username or password to Firebase for this feature.
Android configuration and entitlement services
When Vionza cloud features are enabled on Android, the app uses Firebase Authentication to create an anonymous identifier, Firebase App Check to protect requests, and the Vionza backend to retrieve configuration and verify Premium access. The backend may receive a random installation identifier, platform, app version, locale, anonymous Firebase identifier, App Check token, and purchase-entitlement status. It is not intended to receive your source username, source password, playlist, catalog, watch history, or stream URLs.
5. Purchases
On iOS, subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. On Android, purchases are processed by Google Play and purchase entitlement is managed using RevenueCat and the Vionza backend. These services process transaction identifiers, product and entitlement information, store account context, and limited device or technical information needed to complete, restore, and verify purchases.
Vionza does not receive your full payment-card details. RevenueCat automatic device-identifier collection and diagnostics are disabled in the current Android implementation.
6. Casting, playback, and platform services
If you choose AirPlay, Google Cast, DLNA, Picture in Picture, downloads, or another platform media feature, your device and the selected receiving device or platform service process the information required to perform that action. Media URLs may be shared with the receiving device only when you initiate remote playback.
7. Advertising, analytics, and tracking
The current Vionza release does not display advertising, does not use information for cross-app tracking, and does not sell personal information. Vionza does not currently enable Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics. If these practices change, this policy and the relevant store disclosures will be updated before the changed feature is released.
8. Support communications
If you email support, we receive the email address and information you include in your message. Please do not send source passwords, private playlist links, full payment information, or parental-control PINs. Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably necessary to answer the request, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
9. Retention and your choices
You can clear viewing history and image cache, remove downloads, change parental settings, and remove saved sources from within Vionza. You may contact us to ask about or request deletion of support correspondence or server-side information associated with you. We may request limited information needed to locate and verify the relevant record.
Apple, Google, Firebase, RevenueCat, your media-source operator, and receiving-device providers may retain information under their own terms and legal obligations. Purchase records linked to your store account cannot be deleted by Vionza.
10. Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information handled. No storage or transmission system is completely secure. Third-party and cloud services may process information in countries other than your own, subject to their published safeguards and applicable law.
11. Children's privacy
Vionza is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The media available in Vionza depends entirely on the source chosen by the user. Parents and guardians should use the available parental controls and supervise access where appropriate.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Vionza's features, services, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
